Our Catholic school is part of the Catholic Church. We work in partnership with our local parish and priests in order to enrich the spiritual life of the students, staff and families of our school, especially through the celebration of the Sacraments.
Sacraments are the signs of God’s love in our lives and a way for us to receive spiritual grace. They also celebrate and mark important milestones in our faith journey.
The Sacramental program at St Aloysius Catholic Primary School Cronulla is family-centred and parish-based. Families share an active role in their child’s preparation for the Sacraments and attend group sessions with their child. The school works with the Sacramental team and also supports students Sacramental preparation through the Religious Education program.
Generally students prepare and receive Sacraments in the following grades:
- Year 3, Sacrament of Penance (Reconciliation)
- Year 4, Sacrament of the Eucharist (First Communion)
- Year 6, Sacrament of Confirmation.
Students regularly attend Reconciliation and Eucharist throughout the year and celebrate whole school Masses on special days.
